A new Valorant announcement has confirmed that the release date set for June 2020.

Earlier this week Riot Games Valorant wrapped up its closed beta. And it’s hard to argue it was anything but a huge success.

On Friday Riot Games announced precisely how popular the game was in that brief two-month beta testing period. According to Riot, the Free-to-Play PC Shooter racked up over 470 million hours-watched on Twitch. And nearly 3 million daily average players.

About The Game

Valorant is a 5v5 game that blends elements of Overwatch and Counter-Strike. It is the first major release from Riot since League of Legends, which debuted a decade ago. It has dominated Twitch since the beta started. It’s mainly due to the unique setup where players could only get into the beta by watching top streamers play. The result was a record-breaking day on Amazon’s streaming platform. Valorant has already had an impact on the esports scene, with multiple players moving over from other games.

For those who managed to get into the beta, Riot says their progress will be reset and they “will start fresh, progressing from the same starting line as they compete with players around the world.” The developer also says that it’s planning to add new modes, characters, and maps “shortly after launch,” and it will be deploying new servers in Atlanta, Dallas, London, Madrid, and Warsaw to keep up with the influx of new players.

What Time Does Valorant Release on Pc?

Riot Games has confirmed that the Valorant release date has been set for Tuesday, June 2, 2020.

Valorant will be launching on PC only, and the good news is that everyone will have access to the game on launch day. This means that you won’t be spending any time having to unlock it by watching streams on Twitch.

Riot Games has confirmed that some regions will miss out, telling fans earlier this month: “You’re probably aware of this, but it’s worth reminding. There are still some regions that we can’t get to just yet, like Vietnam, India, the Middle East, and a few others, but everyone is welcome.”

“For regions like Vietnam, we won’t be able to launch just yet, and for regions like India and the Middle East, we have plans for you but for now will be mapping you to the SEA and EU servers, respectively.

Is Valorant free?

Valorant is entirely free to play, meaning users will be able to enjoy a significant portion of the game content for free. However, it comes with several in-game purchases that offer a range of cosmetics and other items.
